LUDOSOPHY: WHAT PHILOSOPHY HAS TO SAY ABOUT VIDEO GAMES

Roberto Di Letizia

What place does philosophy hold in today's world? Its very tools risk rendering it terribly outdated: in-depth analysis, critical thinking, and reflection no longer seem to belong to a world where information travels at the speed of light. Where data doesn't even have time to be processed but arrives already regurgitated and stripped of its meaning, thanks to an increasingly pervasive and invasive social network. The technological infrastructure of the web 3.0 seems to have radically transformed not only the way we live but the very essence of our thinking. In a profit-driven and pragmatic society like ours, philosophical contemplation appears to have lost its relevance. However, within every human lies a curiosity that has never been completely extinguished: it lies dormant, waiting to be rekindled, like a smoldering ember beneath the ashes.
