THE DREAMCAST ENCYCLOPEDIA

Ramón Méndez González

The Dreamcast Encyclopedia is a complete review of a console that marked a before and after in the video game market .

After the jump to three dimensions in the previous generation, Sega's 128-bit console was ahead of the competition to offer the greatest technical potential seen to date , with spectacular titles that continue to maintain the type very well more than two decades later . In addition, Dreamcast risked heavily by betting on online gaming more than five years before it settled in the industry, becoming ahead of its time. This encyclopedia reviews the creation and history of the Dreamcast , both while it was on the market and in the years after its death, with a look at games that were released unofficially as its legacy endured over time. The more than 200 games released in Europe are also discussed in detail., as well as reviewing more than 50 titles that were not released in our territory and collecting information on more than 40 canceled games that would have left us an even more spectacular catalog .

All the European games (and some not released in our territory) were replayed by the author during the writing of the book , since he has managed to get hold of a complete collection of the games present in these pages.
