Yves Delessert, Joëlle Libois
When you enter an arcade, it's for the contact. There's the game, there are the people who are in the arcade, and there is the contact between both. You're there to connect with an immaterial and inhuman being, made of transistors and microprocessors: it's the machine that's your enemy. And then you have you fellow players. Your allies. One could associate that with a B-movie: the villain who holds the wife of the hero and the good adventurers who stand up alongside you. The villain is the machine. The heroes are the players who are around, who try, despite knowing that they're going to lose anyway. This bond, this inevitable quest, is something that we as players share - so we talk.
