It's been over four years since the last volume of the Homebrew Encyclopedia, and back then, we were confident that when we reconvened here, we'd encounter hundreds of new games. We underestimated it, though, because there have been so many fresh titles for 8 and 16-bit systems that we'd have needed an extra two thousand pages. Our beloved childhood machines continue to thrive, and these remarkable creators of new masterpieces transport us back to the '80s, reminding us that the more time passes, the closer we remain to that golden era.
