Even if the public hardly notices them: Computer games also shape the everyday life of many people in Europe. A separate industry sometimes registers larger sales than film studios. Up to three years of work and 15 million euros have been invested in the development of new games so far. Since the target group is much more heterogeneous than is commonly thought, the offers are correspondingly diverse in terms of form and quality.

He shows which criteria buyers use to decide on a specific product and which processes take place during a game. Computer games are understood as a complex interactive process between the recipient and the medium and analyzed using scientific findings from pedagogy, psychology and media research.
