What consequences does the temporal and rhythmic structure of a video game have on user practices?


Through a semiotic analysis of video games spanning various eras and genres, starting from the idea that video games are "machines" capable of creating unique temporal experiences, the volume identifies the mechanisms and gears that make them function.
