This book intends to elevate the debate by retracing the controversies over thirty years, a particularly breathless ideological conflict. This second volume is devoted to torture games and the "murder simulator" Manhunt, accused of being the cause of the death of the teenager Stefan Pakeerah, killed with hammer blows "like in the game". Fear and gore are not to be outdone with "horror games" such as Resident Evil and Silent Hill. The first appendix is dedicated to the influence of violent games on behavior, the second to addiction to online games, and the last to the media treatment of video games.
