Kate Walker, a young, modern, and attractive lawyer, is tasked with acquiring an antique and renowned toy company that is on the decline. But barely has she arrived when Anna Voralberg, the owner of the factory, passes away, leaving her mysterious brother Hans as the sole heir. Hans, who has been missing for several years, is believed to still be alive. He becomes the only one authorized to sell Voralberg toys and automatons. Kate then sets out to find him, conducting her investigation further and further east in Europe, in what becomes a true initiatory journey, blurring the lines between dream and reality.
