The Mushroom Kingdom, which has restored peace thanks to Mario's success, is approached by the magic hand of Bowser's son Galuppa.
Although the content is a follow-up to the original game, the atmosphere is different from the original work that was later made into a series. Princess Peach's romance partner is not Mario, but Andre, the prince of the potato kingdom, and as in the initial setting, Kinopio is a handmaiden. And the turtle kings Bowser and Galuppa are portrayed as vicious and terrifying enemies with no comedic elements. Also, contrary to the title of "Brothers", Luigi does not appear.
