DeVuego
The DeVuego series is a collection of monographs focused on compiling and documenting Spanish video game development. Meticulously designed and edited by DeVuego, this book serves as a historical archive and a tribute to the efforts of Spanish studios and creators.
Throughout this first volume, April-June 2026 is analyzed in its broadest sense, accompanied by a series of interviews with creators as well as essays and research articles on Spanish video games, its industry, and reports from national associations, public entities and research groups.
What will you find in this first volume?

Includes a special breakdown of the period's most notable titles: Denshattack!, The Occultist, Together: Moon Escape, Elementallis, Wax Heads, Call of the Elder Gods, 007: First Light, Gothic 1 Remake , and Mythic Love: Iberian Legends .
Exclusive Interviews: Talks with key figures such as Enrique Colinet, Jordi de Paco and Valeria Castro, covering everything from their beginnings in the industry to their current projects.
Features and Anniversaries: Monographs on the associations AHERO, DeVuego Portugal and Sant Jordi Jam, along with a special commemorative report for the 25th anniversary of the legendary Blade: The Edge of Darkness .
Essays: Articles that analyze the current academic landscape, the rise of cozy games, the international perception of Spanish video games, music production and soundtracks in our country.
Preservation: Diego Vargas Pardo, a worker at the National Library of Spain, tells us how the work of preserving the video game is carried out within the institution.
In addition, the book features contributions from several guests from various areas of the video game industry to discuss video games and education, games as a service, demands on public entities, and the value of sharing resources in the developer community.
DeVuego (derived from DeVelopment and juego) is a non-profit project founded in 2013 by Yova Turnes with the aim of registering and recognizing all developers involved in the creation of video games in Spain.
